The brilliant glow of light and colors through the wonderful leaves and the beautiful roses caught my eye while on a visit to the Tralee Rose Garden in Ireland. The rose name is “Mum in a Million”. If you look in the center of the open rose you’ll see the Chinese Calligraphy symbol for “blossoming” in the stamen area.

I loved the beautiful glow of light through the leaves and the wonderful blues, violets and purples of the hydrangea blossoms when the sun came out!

These fuchsia blossoms were spotted dancing in the ocean breeze with billowing skirts and arms reaching up to the sun. What a delightful moment in time.

The Chinese Calligraphy symbol for “love” is hidden under the opening red rose. In the language of flowers, the red rose speaks of love.

There are many beautiful varieties of Dahlias, around 5,000. The striking red stripes on “Candy Cane” make this flower very fun to paint as well as a great addition to any garden.
